I salute the dignity and pride of the Haitian people, their courage to live and to believe and to persevere when hope seems so close and just out of reach. I wish with all of my heart that during this momentous time of celebration, Haitians can once again band together for the greater good of their country and their people. The beauty of Haiti and her people shines through all else, yet all else prevails. Peace and freedom to Haiti.
